Ιn May 20-21 the a2-innohub in Athens and the π1-innohub in Patras simultaneously open their doors to welcome a creative marathon for students, young scientists, engineers, programmers, young professionals and creative people, who will compete in groups to solve some of the 54 challenges of the ActInSpace Hackathon with the guidance of experts and prominent mentors, using space data and technologies, to create in 24 hours a novel project with a realistic solution to respond to these challenges. The competition is open to the public and there is no entry fee, but pre-registration is required. The winner of the Greek ActInSpace contest will represent Greece in the ActInSpace International Final in June 29th 2016.
The si-Cluster organizes for the first time the ActInSpace International Hackathon in Greece. The organization of ActInSpace Greece is coordinated by Corallia, with the sponsorship of the si-Cluster members: Alma Technologies, ESS, Planetek Hellas and GET, with the support of HASI, IEEE SB NTUA and IEEE SB University of Patras, the technical support of Lancom and the media sponsorship of The TOC.
ActInSpace, which takes place simultaneously in 27 cities worldwide this year, is organized by the European Space Agency (ESA), the French Space Agency (CNES), and the ESA BIC Sud France and supported by Airbus Defence and Space, the Airfrance / KLM and the Novespace.
