Data Management Application for the Municipal Enterprise of Water and Sewage of Komotini
PROFILE
Name: Municipal Enterprise of Water and Sewage of Komotini Website: http://www.deyakom.gr/ Municipal Enterprise of Water and Sewage of Komotini is responsible for the water and sewage network in Komotini as well as for the implementation of large scale relative projects, ensuring funding from the Public Investments program, other resources and from its own funds.
The project concerns the implementation of telemetry / remote control parameters system regarding Komotini’s urban water network function. More specifically, equipment monitoring flow and pressure was installed in 10 leakage control stations of internal network as well as 12 additional portable flow-meters were provided. Stations were connected to the existed SCADA system as well as to the Geographic Information System developed for this project. GEOSPATIAL ENABLING TECHNOLOGIES (GET), in cooperation with DRAXIS, implemented the GIS part (database, mapping services, web application).
GET participated in work packages regarding water network and relative infrastructures mapping, spatially activated database development, mapping services development, web application creation. All data were connected to a hydraulic model in order to estimate network function parameters and problems monitoring for decreasing leakages.
