The Municipality of Chania proceeded to signature of a new contract with GET, this time for the implementation of the project “Preparation of the Business Plan for securing the Community and Publicly Beneficial spaces of the Municipality of Chania”.
The purpose of this provision is to draw up a business plan within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality, in which the shared and public spaces designated by the city plan are recorded. The areas for which the expropriation has not been carried out are prioritized based on criteria regarding the necessity of their acquisition for the wider urban planning of the Municipality, taking into account the time that has passed since the imposition of the systematic expropriation.
The results of the new project will be integrated into the already existing Geospatial Information Infrastructure (Geo ICT) developed by GET for the Municipality of Chania, while further information be will provided to the vertical application that supports the Urban Planning – GET e-POLEO – of the Municipality.
This is the fourth project of the “Preparation of the Business Plan for securing the Community and Publicly Beneficial spaces of a Municipality undertaken by GET, as it has already successfully implemented the plans for the Municipalities of Maroussi, Ilion and Papagou – Holargos.
This service is additional to the existing ones provided by GET thatvconcern Urban Planning and YDOM services of local administration. Particular emphasis has been given to the solutions provided by GET in tools for the improvement of Spatial and Urban Planning. These include the creation of a State of the Art Topographic 3D Background, as well as the application of Urban Data Management, which is already used by several Municipalities and indicatively the following: Agia Paraskevi, Maroussi, Zitsa, Keratsini – Drapetsona, Chania, Papagou – Holargos, Rethymno and Chalandri.
The great response, of the solutions that we develop, by professionals, has as a result an extremely high visitation of the applications and therefore reduces the need of on-site appointments with the Municipality since the access to the necessary information is provided dynamic through WMS, WFS services.
