GΕΤ participates in the workshop “Archaeology in the City”, which is organised by CLUE+ and the Naples University “Federico II” (Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici) in cooperation with Herity International, 16-17 October 2019. The workshop focuses on the urban expansion in many historical city centers, where the presence of archaeological layers is massive. Analysis of the pitfalls and the opportunities of this phenomenon, as well as of the methods and procedures employed in the various steps involved, from data acquisition, documentation and storage to the integration of these data in heritage policies and urban planning, will take place.

GET, in cooperation with Dipylon, the society for the study of ancient topography, will present a project about “Mapping Ancient Athens: from the fragmented archaeological data to the digital map”.
